The Warm Springs area of Fremont began its re-invention after a large auto plant shut down in 2010. Since then, this area has become a prime area for new homes and condos, all surrounding the BART Warm Springs/South station. So not only do residents get a contemporary place to live, but they have easy access to many East Bay cities via BART. North Oakland is next to West Oakland, and is landlocked on other sides by Emeryville, Piedmont and Berkeley.
