News > Ride "The B" for Free....

Travel just got easier in Oakland with the recent introduction of the free Broadway Shuttle, officially known as "The B".  Look for the big green bus Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, running every 10 minutes during commute hours and lunch time and every 15 minutes other times.  The B makes 19 stops between Jack London Square, Old Oakland, Chinatown, City Center, Uptown, and Lake Merritt.

It is expected that this shuttle service will carry more than 2,000 passengers a day and, hopefully, in the future, will expand to include evenings and weekends.  It is also anticipated that The B will attract more employers to Downtown Oakland, making the area more desirable for prospective home buyers.
